“ I can't believe it took us so long to go to Hoexters, it's literally just blocks away! It was sooo good, the food, the wine, the service, the atmosphere, all absolute 5 stars! Special shoutout to Andres the manager and Steven the bartender, oh and the Philly Cheese Steak special, really appreciate this place. We'll be back...! ”
“ I really liked the BLT salad, I asked for a boiled egg instead of poached and I appreciate that they were willling to substitute. The service was great and the restaurant is very clean. I had brunch with my sisters and my son, we all had a good time. The mocktail is delicious too! ”
“ I had a great experience there the first time. It wasn't so busy. The ambience was romantic anf quiet. The service was friendly and nice. We enjoyed the burgers, brussel sprouts, French onion soup and branzino. But the second time back, it was packed and noisy. They really packed the back room with tables. It was way too busy. They couldn't honor our reservation time so we waited for 20 minutes. Service was slower because it was busy. The food (the same brussel sprouts dish) was not good - not crispy enough. We did tried different dishes (the pork Milanese and chicken pot pie); neither of which I would get again. It was less enjoyable, food was less good. I don't know if I'd want to visit much again. ”
“ Hoexters is such a fun addition to the ues!! It brings a downtown feel with great food and ambience, as well as attentive and helpful service. While it's crowded and hard to get into, it's only because it really is a standout. My one critique is that their (delicious) sourdough isn't complimentary. I love the martini, chicken, and fries. The cheeseburger is great too! And don't skip dessert!! ”
“ I really liked the vibe in here as we sat at the bar for a late night dinner because we were craving a burger. The sourdough and butter was really really good. Super soft and not a hard exterior. The burger was also really good and well seasoned and they gave you a TON of fries. The place was def on the more expensive end coming in at $85 for 2 burgers and sourdough but I did like the place! ”
“ I and my friend went for some cozy sips and soup one cool evening. We were both craving French onion soup and some sips. Admittedly French onion soup isn't my first go to, but after trying Hoexter's soup I might have to change that. It was perfectly cheesy and the right amount of sweet and salty. Despite it being packed on a weekend night, service was prompt and servers were kind. Loved my brief time here and can't wait to visit again! ”
“ Definitely worth the try! I was able to snag a reservation in the bar area. I started with the sourdough and butter and knew from that my entree was going to exceed expectations. Truly one of the best burgers on the UES! It has a higher price point but most definitely worth it. The burger was tasty and cooked to perfection plus it was accompanied by a mountain of fries. The vibe inside is very luxe and moody. ”
